TJ’s Music is the place for your School Band Instrument Rentals.  We carry only brand new school requested instruments, and all of the major brands.  All our rentals come with option to purchase the instrument.  For more information, view our rental contract [here], or read the information below.

To determine the number of payments required for ownership of the instrument: Take the value listed at the bottom of this page, deduct the initial net rental fee, and divide the balance by the monthly net rental fee.  Do not include TA and RMP.  Ownership is acquired upon completion of monthly payments.

All Repairs must be done by TJ’s Music.  All Repairs that fall under the maintenance program are done on site free of charge for the rental customer.

How The Plan Works:

• You may rent the as long as you wish.  The instrument may be returned at any time, outstanding charges paid, and the rental agreement will be terminated.  Title of ownership remains with TJ’s Music during the rental period.
• Rental fees will charged up to the date of the instrument being returned.
• No rental or RMP fees will be prorated or refunded.
• You will receive an invoice before the end of the initial period.  To renew the rental send your payment along with the invoice stub, by the due date.

Purchase Option:

• The rented instrument may be purchased at any time.  All paid rental fees, excluding RMP and Tax, may be applied to the purchase.  If the instrument is purchased within 12 months, a 20% discount of the remaining balance will be given.  If the instrument is purchased in the first month, a 30% discount will be given.

Exchanged Option:

• The student instrument being rented may be exchanged at any time during the rental.  Up to 12 months of paid rental fees will be applied to price of the instrument provided the account is current.  This applies only to band instruments of student quality.

String Rental (The Best Strings Exchange / Purchase Plan Anywhere):

• TJ’s Music will exchange the instrument for the next size requested by the teacher.  When the student requires a full size instrument, all paid rental fees will be applied towards the value of a full size instrument provided that the account is current.

Past Due Accounts:

• If the rental is past due, a late charge of $5.00 will be assessed for every thirty days the account arrears.  TJ’s Music reserves the right to charge past due rental fees (Including rental fees) to your credit card using information provided to TJ’s Music.  If the account becomes 90 days past due the full value of the instrument shall become due, plus liability for all collection and legal costs incurred.

Repair Maintenance Program (RMP):

For this coverage charge, TJ’s Music will assume liability of protecting the rental customer to the rental instrument under the following conditions.

• If the instrument is lost or Stolen, the rental customer has full responsibility.  Theft must be reported to the proper law enforcement authorities within 24 hours after discovery of loss, and a receipt presented to TJ’s Music within 14 days.   The total remaining balance of the instrument and any other charges incurred must be paid in full within 30 days of dated receipt.
• Any damage or breakage to the rented instrument will be repaired to proper playing condition, without charge, unless caused by mischievous conduct.  Coverage does not apply to deterioration of appearance, which does not affect the performance of the instrument, such as scratches, minor dents and finish.
• Excluded from coverage are drum heads, drumsticks, strings, bow rehairing and replacement of expendable accessories (reeds, mouth pieces, oil, etc.)
• Any claims for repair or replacement shall not alter or diminish the terms of rental plan indicated on the rental contract.
• If the rentee defaults on any payment for more than 30 days, RMP coverage will lapse and can be reinstated only by permission of TJ’s Music, Fall River, MA.  No part of this coverage will be refunded.
• TJ’s Music or its authorized designated agents must make all repairs and replacement of rented instruments, under this coverage.  Note: if RMP is declined, customer is responsible for all repairs and replacement of the rented instrument.

Instrument Values:
